Break Free from What’s Holding You Back: Brainspotting, EMDR & Internal Family Systems Therapy Intensives

For Professional Women Ready to Heal and Reclaim Their Lives

Has it been a while since you’ve truly felt like yourself? Do you feel like something is stuck, and no matter what you try, it’s hard to shift? If you’re struggling to “move on,” to find happiness, and to feel whole again, you’re not alone.

The negative self-talk, limiting beliefs, and old behavior patterns can cloud your sense of well-being. Whether it’s past experiences, old programming, or difficult emotions, they seem to show up uninvited and stop you from moving forward in your life and relationships. Does it feel like no matter what you do to change—shutting down, numbing out, or feeling bursts of anger—it just doesn’t help?

If traditional talk therapy, self-care, and mindfulness techniques haven’t seemed to make a difference, it’s time to consider something deeper and more transformative.

Why I Believe in the Power of Therapy Intensives

As a therapist, I’ve worked with many clients who feel stuck, overwhelmed, and unable to break free from patterns that no longer serve them. But I’ve also been there myself. I’ve struggled with my own codependent patterns, hitting walls in therapy, and feeling like I wasn’t making the progress I needed. That’s when I realized I needed an extra boost—something that would allow me to process on a much deeper level and move through my own healing.

Brainspotting Therapy Intensives were the key to breaking through for me, and after seeing how they worked for my own healing, I knew I had to offer them to others. Often, in traditional talk therapy, there are limitations when trying to tackle complex, emotional issues in just one hour. But with an intensive, you get the luxury of time—time to go deeper, process more thoroughly, and get to the root of what’s truly holding you back.

For many of us, issues like codependency, shame, and the fear of abandonment and rejection are at the core of what keeps us stuck. These patterns run deep, but with Brainspotting, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), we can go beyond surface-level discussion and start healing those roots.

Introducing Brainspotting Therapy Intensives

Brainspotting Therapy Intensives are a powerful, transformative approach that combines trauma healing, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help you break through emotional blocks and limiting patterns.

Brainspotting is a unique therapy that taps into your brain’s natural healing process, guiding you through deeply rooted emotional wounds to release what’s no longer serving you. Through EMDR, we reprocess past trauma that contributes to these negative patterns. And with IFS, we uncover the different parts of yourself that hold the pain of abandonment, rejection, or shame.

These intensives are ideal for professional women who find themselves struggling with time for self-care, feel stuck even with all the hard emotional work they’ve done in therapy, and want to break free from codependent behaviors, heal from relational attachment wounds, and feel more confident, whole, and authentic in their lives.

Brainspotting Therapy Intensives: Heal Codependency, Relational Patterns & More

Brainspotting, EMDR, and Internal Family Systems are incredibly effective for professionals like you who are struggling with relational attachment issues or codependent patterns. These deeply ingrained emotional habits can show up in your relationships, whether at work or in your personal life, leaving you feeling stuck or out of sync with your true self.

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) works to process traumatic memories and negative beliefs that keep you stuck in harmful patterns. It can help you reprocess emotional triggers from the past, releasing the hold they have on you today.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) helps you understand the different "parts" of yourself that contribute to emotional conflict and discomfort. Whether it’s the perfectionist, the inner critic, or a wounded part of yourself, IFS helps you reconnect with these parts in a compassionate way, so you can heal and integrate them for healthier, more balanced living.

These three powerful modalities work together during intensives to help you address everything from trauma to self-worth, relational patterns, emotional regulation, and more. Whether you’re seeking to break free from patterns of people-pleasing, unhealthy relationship dynamics, or feelings of shame and guilt, Brainspotting, EMDR, and IFS can help you heal and build new, healthier ways of relating to others and to yourself.

What to Expect in a Brainspotting Intensive

In a Brainspotting Intensive, we’ll work together to identify a key issue you’re dealing with—whether it’s a thought, feeling, or behavior that you want to explore. By finding a "brain spot" (a specific eye position), we can access areas of the brain that store unresolved trauma or emotional blocks. The process involves a deep connection between your mind and body, allowing you to experience and process emotions, memories, and sensations in real time.

EMDR will help you process trauma-related memories, bringing you the relief you’ve been seeking by enabling your brain to reprocess these memories in a healthy way. Meanwhile, IFS will help you engage with different parts of your psyche to uncover how your internal systems are impacting your well-being and relational dynamics.

Some people may feel emotional discomfort during the session, but this is a natural part of the healing process. We work together through the intensity to ensure you feel safe and supported. Afterward, many clients report feeling lighter, more connected, and less stressed.

How the Brainspotting Intensive Process Works

Pre-Intensive Sessions

Before diving into an intensive, we’ll spend a few sessions together to ensure that this modality is the right fit for you. This is when we’ll gather background information, clarify your goals, build trust, and establish a solid foundation for our work. We'll also practice some coping strategies to help you feel prepared for your intensive.

Intensive Session

On the day of your intensive, we’ll spend 3-4.5 hours working through your core issue with Brainspotting, EMDR, and IFS. The session will include a mix of techniques to address your challenges, and there will be time for breaks and post-session processing.

Post-Intensive Session

Following the intensive, we’ll schedule a 60-minute follow-up session within 1-3 weeks. This allows us to reflect on your shifts, integrate new insights, and create a personalized plan for continued growth.

Insurance Information

Please note that intensive therapy sessions (lasting 3-4.5 hours) are not covered by insurance, as insurance providers generally do not cover sessions longer than one hour. However, pre-intensive and post-intensive sessions can be covered by insurance.

Cost for Therapy Intensives

For those seeking a profound, time-effective healing experience, the investment for an intensive therapy session is $600.

These rates apply to sessions held within the Inner Loop of Houston and are designed for women struggling with relational issues, who are ready to make significant progress in their healing journey.

House Calls Available

For your convenience, I offer house calls for those who can’t come to the office or prefer the comfort of their own space. Whether at home or in the office, we’ll ensure a professional, therapeutic environment conducive to healing for these intensives.
